रोहतांग पास : तिबब्ती भाषा में रोहतांग का मतलब है मुर्दो का ढेर | 13050 फिट की ऊंचाई पर रोहतांग दर्रा है जो लाहौल जाने का एकमात्र रास्ता है | कहते हैं कि 1862 में 72 मजदुर इस दर्रे को पार करते हुए मर गए थे | रोहतांग विश्व के कठिन दर्रों में से एक है | दर्रे सरकुण्ड कहते हैं | यहां से कुछ दुरी पर सोनीपानी गलेशियर है | व्यास नदी का उदगम व्यासकुंड से इसी स्थान पर होता है |
Rohtang Pass is one the famous attraction in Kullu Distt. People always prefer to visit this after Manali velly .
If you are planning to visit a beautiful then you can take it tracking root form Gulaba to Bias kund near Rohtang pass.One of the activity they can do is white water tracking the water here coming from glaciar Rohtang velly very pure and fresh.
Upto Gulaba you need not to have permit but from Gulaba to Rohtang you must have a valid Rohtang permit. From Gulaba you can start towards Madhi & Rohtang Pass.
DOs and DON'Ts:
Prefer to keep warm cloths with you as you will get snow there
Do not try to cross glacier without proper preparation
